Turning clicks into action: mobilising supporters in the digital age
Groundwork
This workshop brings together mobilisation experts to unpack how campaigns and organisations can convert fleeting digital engagement into real-world action.
Participants will learn what actually drives people from passive clicking to active participation—whether that means signing up, donating, volunteering, or showing up offline. The session explores the full mobilisation funnel: crafting message hooks that trigger intent, designing frictionless activation journeys, and using behavioural insights, creator content, and micro-communities to sustain momentum.
Through practical examples and live exercises, the speakers will demonstrate how to build relational networks, use data ethically to personalise outreach, and engineer repeat engagement that compounds over time. The workshop also examines what’s changed in a world of algorithmic feeds, WhatsApp mobilisation, and fatigue with traditional calls-to-action.
Attendees will leave with actionable tactics, templates, and a clearer sense of how to translate digital attention into meaningful political power.
