Speaking at this event:

All things being equal, the more informed people are, the better able they are to perform as citizens” (Delli Carpini & Keeter, 1997). So let’s use AI to help people get informed and lower barriers to democratic participation!

Drawing on my research at the University of Hamburg Business School and my work as Co-Founder and CEO of the non-profit wahl.chat, I’ll share how AI can make political information easier to access and easier to understand, especially for people who feel shut out by complexity, jargon, or information overload. We’ll explore what an “accessibility layer” for politics can look like in practice: clearer explanations, quicker comparisons, and better ways to ask questions without needing to be an expert.
