Speaking at this event:

PRE-REGISTRATION ONLY

As campaigns leverage AI-generated political content on social media, distinguishing authentic messages from synthetic manipulation is becoming one of the most urgent challenges in modern campaigning.

In this masterclass, political communication researchers Simon Kruschinski and Fabio Votta take participants inside the emerging techniques, signals, and investigative workflows used to detect AI-generated visuals, videos, ads, and narratives. They will demonstrate real cases and empirical evidence from recent election cycles and show how their tool CampAIgn Tracker systematically monitors, classifies, and flags AI-produced political content across social media platforms.

Participants will learn how to spot visual markers, understand attribution pitfalls, and build monitoring routines for their own campaigns or organisations. The session also includes practical exercises for participants: analysing real-world examples to determine what’s human, what’s synthetic, and how to respond strategically when AI-generated content enters the political arena.
