Speaking at this event:

Participants of this session will actively test their ability to spot fake headlines and manipulated images, learn practical verification techniques such as reverse image search, source checking, and emotional language analysis, and explore real civic-tech tools that strengten transparency and accountability.

At the Truth Lab, participants can engage in short, playful exercises like the "Fact or Fake" quiz to see how easily misinformation spreads, and then receive a Truth Toolkit—a pocket-sized, take-home guide summarizing five quick factchecking methods and linking via QR code to an online collection of civic-tech resources and verification tools.

The event is organised by the European Liberal Forum. The event/session received financial support from the European Parliament. The sole liability remains with the organiser. The European Parliament is not responsible for any use that may be made of the information contained therein.
