Claudia is the Founder and CEO of DemocracyNext, a non‑partisan international institute dedicated to promoting deliberative democracy through citizens’ assemblies and institutional innovation. She previously led the work on innovative citizen participation at OECD, where she helped build an evidence base of hundreds of deliberative processes worldwide, developed standards and evaluation guidelines, and co‑authored the flagship report Catching the Deliberative Wave. She was instrumental in designing the world’s first permanent citizens’ assemblies — including in Paris, Ostbelgien and Brussels — and now advances efforts to re‑imagine democratic governance via participation by lot, deliberation, and structural reform.
