Iain is the Director of Policy & Public Affairs at the BBC. He leads the organisation’s engagement with the UK Government, the Devolved Administrations, Metro Mayors, Ofcom, trade bodies and a wide range of partners. Before joining the BBC, he served as Head of Policy for YouTube in the UK and Europe, shaping the platform’s approach to regulation, digital governance and public policy. His earlier career includes roles at Ogilvy and the Labour Party, where he worked in Downing Street as an adviser to Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
