Albers
Jeppe is a Danish governance and security expert and the Founder and Executive Director of Nordic Safe Cities, an alliance of cities and partners focused on strengthening democratic resilience, safety, and inclusion in urban communities across the Nordic region. He has led the organisation since 2016, fostering collaboration among cities, governments, and civil society to prevent extremist violence, polarisation, and hate, while promoting tolerant, resilient societies. Jeppe has over a decade of experience in democracy, safety, and security, with previous roles in policy, governance, and social innovation at various Danish institutions. He holds a Master of Science in Sociology and Political Science, having studied at the University of Copenhagen, Sciences Po Paris, and Yale University. His work emphasises cross‑sector partnerships, applied research, and city‑level action to foster safe, open, and democratic communities, engaging regularly with policymakers, practitioners, and international stakeholders on local governance and democratic resilience.
