Ricardo Marvão is a Portuguese entrepreneur and innovation specialist, best known as the co-founder of Beta-i, a global collaborative innovation platform established in 2010. Beta-i has played a pivotal role in developing Lisbon's startup ecosystem and now operates in over 25 countries, serving more than 150 major international companies. The organization focuses on sectors such as Energy, Oceans, Sustainability, and Health. Before founding Beta-i, Marvão gained over a decade of experience in the aerospace industry. He worked with the European Space Agency (ESA), Inmarsat, Airbus, and other organizations across various continents. In 2004, he co-founded EvolveSpace Solutions, one of Portugal's first startups providing software and services to the ESA, which was later acquired by Novabase.
