Sven is a German journalist and the Chief Editor (Chefredakteur) of the Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa), Germany’s largest news agency. He studied political science in Berlin and began his career at the Braunschweiger Zeitung. He subsequently worked for the Berliner Morgenpost and Die Welt, served as a regional correspondent in Hannover for the Braunschweiger Zeitung and Weser-Kurier, and held senior editorial roles as politics chief of Welt am Sonntag and deputy chief editor at Bild.
